NEWORLEANS - Hundreds of New Orleans taxi cabs are parked Tuesday in a grass-roots protest against the city's new cab regulations.

Several cab companies told Channel 4 they are grounding cabs that would normally serve the city, including at the airport and major hotels.

Owners said the city has not given them enough time to implement new requirements such as credit card machines, security cameras and later model vehicles.

But, not all cab companies are joining the strike, and those companies are reporting non-stop business as they pick up the slack for the striking drivers.
