NEWORLEANS - New Orleans City Council has unanimously passed an ordinance to require permits to sell food and other items at second lines.

Ordinance would require vendors at second lines who sell food and other non-food items to have a permit from the city.

Vendors are not allowed to sell alcohol. A vendor is responsible to clean up the 10 foot area around where items are being sold. The permit fee is $25.
