NEWORLEANS - Police hope surveillance video can help in their search for the person who shot a man early Saturday morning in the FrenchQuarter following a bar fight.

A relative of the victim was involved in the fight at a club early Saturday before 2 a.m., police said.

Around 2:15 a.m., the victim was walking near Decatur &Bienville Streets when one of the other people involved in the fight began to fire gunshots at the victim. He was hit in the buttocks, police said. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, approximately 5'9' tall with a slim build, medium complexion, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

Surveillance video in the area captured the gunman and the person of interest leaving the scene. The video can be viewed here.
