PONCHATOULA, La. After agents discovered child pornography at a Ponchatoula man's home, they came upon a computer that led to the man's arrest on an aggravated rape charge, according to the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.
Robert Swan, 51, had a search warrant executed on his residence after a joint investigation by the Attorney General's High Technology Crime and Fugitive Apprehension Units and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.
Agents found evidence showing that he was involved in the possession, production and distribution of child pornography. He was charged with three counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Further evidence from Swan's computer led to an additional charge of aggravated rape, officials said.
He was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and could face more than 20 years in prison for each pornography charge. If convicted of rape, he could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
