NEW ORLEANS Police are asking for the public's help in locating three men who kidnapped, raped and robbed a woman in the Garden District Monday evening, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Around 6:45 p.m., a 30-year-old was exiting her car in the 1200 block of Eighth Street.

She was approached by two men, one of which was armed with a gun, and was forced into a waiting vehicle that was driven by a third man, police said.

The men robbed and sexually assaulted the woman as they drove around, according to the NOPD.

After the suspects drove back to the 1200 block of Eighth Street, they took the victim's car keys and stole her 1999 silver, four-door Honda Accord bearing Louisiana license plate OUZ 831.

The men drove off with both cars and forced the woman out of the car at Chestnut and Eighth streets.

The suspects are described as black in and in their early to late 20s. The victim was unable to describe their car.

The woman was treated and released from the hospital for bruises, scratches and abrasions, police said.

Citizens with information are asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
