KENNER, La. -- Police are investigating the murder of a 19-year-old man, according to Sgt. Brian McGregor, spokesman for Kenner Police.

Shortly after 12 a.m., police were called to the intersection of 31st and Marietta streets after a report of a shooting, said McGregor.

Jeremiah Jackson, 19, was found by officers, and, according to police, he was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not determined a motive or identified a suspect, said McGregor.
