SANTAROSACOUNTY, Fla. -- A New Orleans man drowned while on vacation at Navarre Beach Saturday, according to Deputy Rich Aloy, a spokesman for the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.

The body of Jeremy Aaron Johnson was found just before sunset Saturday, according to the sheriff's office.

Around 6 p.m., deputies from the sheriff's office were called to the beach to help find the missing swimmer. The swimmer, later identified as Johnson, was last seen west of the fishing pier, according to the sheriff's office.

The case remains under investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
