NEW ORLEANS -- One person has died in a double shooting near Tchoupitoulas Street, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
It happened near the intersection of Felicity and Tchoupitoulas at about 7 p.m.
NOPDspokesman Officer Garry Flot said the victim was found lying down next to a car, which was stopped in a lane of traffic and unoccupied. The victim died on the scene.
Another person showed up at the hospital with a gunshot would to his hand. His condition is unknown, but police are questioning him in connection with the shooting.
Flot said officers believe two vehicles exchanged gunfire. The other vehicle involved in the shooting was found near Delachaise and Coliseum streets. It was reported stolen.
Police haven't named a suspect or a motive. The deceased victim hasn't been identified.
