NEWORLEANS-- Police are investigating the shooting of a man near the Fair Grounds Sunday evening and they are seeking the public's help.

Around 6:30 p.m., the victim was shot while walking in the 3000 block of Ponce de Leon Street, police said. He was shot in the chest and hit in the leg as well. Police said he is in critical condition.

The NOPDhas released a video of a man shown pushing a bicycle that was taken around the time of the incident. His still frame is show above. Police say he is not a suspect but they think he may know something about the crime.

According to police, the shooter had dreadlocks and was wearing a black shirt and shorts. He was riding a white-colored bicycle. The man fled down Ponce de Leon toward Gentilly Boulevard after the shooting.
