NEW ORLEANS -- A new food and music festival is taking advantage of one of Freret Street's new clubs.

The Publiq House hosted the first-ever Oyster Jam on Sunday.

People enjoyed plenty of oysters shucked by the Crescent City's fastest shuckers, and it featured plenty of other food vendors, music and the big NFL playoff games on big screens.

'I realized that oysters are something that you really want to be eating when it's cold out. That's what we did.'

Raw Oyster Cult, John Gros, members of the Radiators and Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes were among the musical acts to play at the event.
