SLIDELL, La. -- Hundreds of runners came together Saturday morning for a benefit for a Northshore High School student killed in a crash.

Hayley's Run aims to establish a scholarship fund in memory of Hayley Howard.

Runners wore tutus in Howard's favorite colors of green and purple. Howard was a member of the cross-country team at Northshore High.

Organizers say they raised $5,000 dollars for the scholarship fund, which came from donations and registration for the run, plus another $1,500 from t-shirt sales was raised to support the cross-country team.
