NEWORLEANS-- An 18-year-old man who believed he was meeting a woman through a social media website became to the victim of a carjacking in Central City Monday.

According to a police report, around 9:30 p.m., the man met an unknown woman on an unnamed social media website, and then went to meet the woman in the 2100 block of Danneel Street.

After parking at the location and waiting for the woman, 10 men, 4 of whom who were armed, came up to the vehicle and forced him out of the car, according to police report.

A week earlier, a New Orleans East man was robbed at gunpoint by a woman he met on a social networking site. The man met the woman on the social media site Tagged. When he went to meet her in the 2200 block of St. Anthony Street in the 7th Ward, the woman and two men robbed the victim and carjacked his vehicle.
