NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Police Department is searching for two men wanted for an armed robbery at a Hollygrove convenience store that was caught on the store's security cameras.

Officers say around 8 a.m. on Monday, two black men charged into a convenience store in the 9200 block of Airline Highway. With shirts covering their faces, the two men ran up to the counter and demanded cash. The employee at the register, fearing for her safety, handed over $400 in cash to the two men, according to police.

Officers said both men fled on foot toward Airline Highway, then onto nearby Stroelitz Street.

The first suspect is a black man with a dark complexion and a dark colored baseball cap, wearing a dark shirt around his face. Police describe him as having a short-sleeve white t-shirt, dark pants, white and black tennis shoes armed with a silver and black handgun with an extended magazine.

The second suspect is a black man with a medium complexion, a light-colored baseball cap, wearing a dark shirt around his face, short-sleeve dark shirt, dark pants and white and black tennis shoes.
