KENNER, La. -- The Kenner Fire Department is looking into what sparked a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex Saturday night.

It started just before 9 p.m. in the 2900 block of Kentucky Street. According to fire officials at least seven people were displaced from their apartments.

Several animals weren't able to escape the blaze, including three cats.

One person also received minor cuts when he jumped from a second floor window to avoid the flames. No other injuries were reported..
