METAIRIE, La. Conflicting information has been coming out about the Krewe of Zeus and its parade scheduled for Lundi Gras, but a festival spokesman says the krewe does indeed plan to ride on time in Metairie.

Early Wednesday a parish official said that the parade had been cancelled and would fold some of its units into the Krewe of Hera, which is currently scheduled to follow Zeus.

But when Eyewitness News spoke to Brian Landry, the logistics manager for the krewe, in the afternoon, he disputed the report, but would not confirm that the krewe would roll as scheduled on Lundi Gras, saying only that the organization would be issuing a news release soon.

That news release didn't come, but Landry said before the 10 p.m. newscast that the krewe is parading as planned and has big plans for this year's Carnival celebration.

Landry said it does plan to parade at 7 p.m. on Lundi Gras, Feb. 11.
