NEW ORLEANS A man suspected of taking two cell phones and $40 from people at gunpoint last week is wanted for armed robbery, police said Wednesday.

After one victim gave detectives access to his cell phone account following the 3:12 a.m. incident at the 5200 block of Coliseum St., authorities said they obtained outgoing calls made after the robbery.

Detectives used this information to identify 20-year-old Edward Green as the one making these calls, police said. Detectives said the victims identified Green from a photographic line up.

Detectives searched Green's house after receiving an arrest and search warrant and found several cell phones, a handgun and hat used in the crime, cameras, GPS systems, laptops and ammunition, police said.

Green was absent from his house during the search.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
