KINDER, La. (AP) Coushatta Tribal Police arrested a man who robbed a bank and briefly escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The American Press reports 31-year-old Justin Michael Schill, of New Orleans, was booked Wednesday with first-degree robbery and felony theft following a robbery of the IberiaBank in Kinder.

Allen Parish Sheriff Doug Hebert III said the robber indicated he had a weapon, but never showed it to the teller.

Hebert says Schill was taken into custody without incident about two hours later.

The sheriff said Schill told authorities he left his mother at Coushatta Casino Resort while he went to rob the bank.
