NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have recovered a vehicle marked as a police car that had been stolen from a movie set downtown.

While the car was reported stolen Monday evening, police had already found the vehicle earlier in the day at a storage yard at Soniat and Dryades streets.

The vehicle had a flat tire and wasn't driveable, said NOPDspokesman Officer Frank Robertson, so someone had to have towed it there.

The Ford Crown Victoria has a large fleur de lis on the trunk and says just 'Police' on its side.

Robertson said the vehicle has explosives inside that make small bullet holes when detonated.

NOLA Security is in charge of the set.

The case is under investigation.
