NEW ORLEANS Two New Orleans police officers were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy, wire fraud and theft, U.S. Attorney Ken Polite announced Friday.

According to the indictment, Rafael Dobard, 39; and Quincy Jones, 33, of the NOPD, conspired to enrich themselves by submitting time sheets for times during which they were working and submitting time sheets for non-NOPD detail jobs.

Dobard has served eight years as an officer. Jones has served for 11 years.
