KENNER, La. -- Kenner has been hit with street flooding after heavy rainfall on already saturated roadways Sunday June 1.

City officials say the Kenner Public Works crews and the Kenner Police Department are addressing street flooding in areas of north Kenner.

Officials say all pumps are functioning and were turned on at the appropriate times.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution in or avoid the following areas where high water has been reporter:

-4400 block of Lake Trail

-4200 block of Connecticut

-4200 block of Alabama

-Gelpi from Driftwood Blvd. to Coronado

-Power Blvd. northbound and southbound Vintage to I-10

-Chateau and Vintage

The National Weather Service had issued a flash flood warning for the area that expired at 3 p.m. Sunday.
