NEWORLEANS-- Police apprehended a 12-year-old boy wanted in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The unnamed juvenile was wanted for shooting the 17-year-old male in the 3200 block of General Taylor Street on May 22 around 7:30 p.m.

According to police, they 'are unable to provide any further information due to the subject being a juvenile,' adding that all further inquiries should be directed to Juvenile Court.

At the time of the incident, police issued an arrest warrant for a 12-year-old in connection with the shooting, calling him 'armed and dangerous.'
