KENNER, La. -- A national women's rights organization is launching an ad campaign targeting issues such as fair pay, paid family leave and access to women's health care, but don't expect to see it at a busy New Orleans spot.
The organization Ultraviolet wanted to pay for advertising space for a billboard inside Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
It points out a recent study ranks Louisiana as the worst state in the country for women.
An airport spokesperson said it doesn't meet advertising guidelines that don't allow for political or offensive ads.
Ultralight plans on buying billboard space outside the airport.
