LAPLACE, La. -Ayoung man from LaPlace is behind barsand deputies are looking for another,in the kidnapping and rape of a teenager who was grabbed while walking in the Treme neighborhood a week ago in the early morning hours.

It took only five days for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Department to arrest one manfor the kidnapping and rape of the 19-year-oldwoman.Kevin Allen, 20, of 1504 Tiffany Drive in LaPlace is now behind bars in St. Charles Parish with a $1 millionbond.

'He's charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery and use of a firearm,' said Captain Patrick Yoes of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's office.

The victim says one man threw a towel over her face and the other man put her in a choke hold when she was kidnapped. Latershe was able to see where they brought her. First they went to St. John Parish and then she showed deputies that the two men brought her to a secluded area in St. Charles Parish near Montz, where they repeatedly rapped her.

The community of Montz lies in-between LaPlace andthe Bonnet Carre' Spillway. The victim was unfamiliar with the area, but recognized it whendeputies retraced the criminals' path.

'Once in the vehicle, they produced a weapon and threatened to shoot her if she screamed, so that's how they kept her in submission,' said Yoes.

The teenager's purse, cell phone, money, and ID cards were also stolen.So when she was dropped off in Kenner, she flagged down someone to call the sheriff's office.

One more suspect is being sought.

'We continue to investigate and we do anticipate that there will be at least one additional arrest,' said Yoes.

Allen is alsobeing booked with aggravated kidnapping by NOPD sincethe abductionhappened in Orleans Parish.

St. Charles deputies say what led them to Allen was a St. John deputy who had dealt with Allen in the past and thought he fit the description. The victim positively identified Allen who had been arrested I the past for possession of stolen property, criminal trespassing and simple battery. Aggravated rape carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
