NEW ORLEANS - Police are investigating a double shooting Saturday night that left one man dead and a woman injured.
Police were called to the intersection of N. Broad and Treasure Streets just after 10:05 p.m., after receiving a report of a man down in the middle of the street, according to Officer Frank Robertson, a New Orleans Police spokesman.
Officers found a 27-year-old man who had been shot multiple times. They learned he was a passenger inside of a white Infiniti, driven by a 24-year-old woman. The woman drove herself to the hospital after the shooting, police said. She had been shot in the arm and leg and is in stable condition at the hospital.
The man died at the hospital.
Police are gathering evidence and searching for a suspect or motive.
