HAHNVILLE, La. - Two former employees of the St Charles Parish Clerk of Courts Office were arrested Thursday for keeping court cost money associated with tickets, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
Tina V. Bourque, 41, and Brittany D. Jones, 25, would allegedly accept tickets with court cost but keep the court cost money for themselves instead of turning it in to the sheriff's office.
The arrest warrants, issued on Nov. 30, were based on charges of theft under $500, malfeasance in office and injuring public record.
Borque, who had been previously arrested on Nov. 7 for the same charges, has now been charged on 23 counts of theft under $500 and 33 counts of both malfeasance in office and injuring public record.
Jones was arrested on two counts on all charges.
Borque has a bond of $100,000. Jones' bond is not set.
