NEW ORLEANS -- A teenager is behind bars on charges that he shot and killed an 18-year-old man whose body was found on a Central City school campus Monday.

Police booked 17-year-old Glenn Metz, IV with the second-degree murder of 18-year-old Jamal Christian.

NOPD spokesman Officer Frank Robertson said residents in the area identified Metz.

Robertson said Christian was shot and killed Sunday during a second-line parade near the intersection of Jackson Avenue and North Robertson Street.

Police recovered the body at the Mahalia Jackson school until Monday, when it was found in 'shrubbery.'

Police are also searching for 18-year-old Lashawn Wells as a 'person of interest.'
