THIBODAUX, La. - Thibodaux Police have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the threatening phone call that caused lockdowns, evacuations and some closures at Lafourche Parish schools and courthouses Tuesday.

Donald Brooks was charged with terrorizing and communicating false information of planned arson.

Police said Brooks had been scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for child support questions.

According to police, after the call was made about 8:45 a.m., Thibodaux police and other law enforcement agencies worked together to tie the call to Brooks.

He was arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
