Amite, La. A Ponchatoula woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish Wednesday, according to State Police.

Around 7:30 p.m., the crash occurred on LA 16, one mile west of Interstate-55, according to State Police.

Carly Cutrer, 25, was heading west on LA16, when her vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and struck a SUV head-on, according to State Police. Cutrer was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the SUV, Sean Zimmerman, of Roxie, Miss, and two passengers inside the vehicle were wearing seatbelts and suffered minor injuries, according to State Police.

Toxicology examinations will be conducted for both drivers at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab, although driver impairment is not suspected, according to State Police.
