GALLIANO, La. A Lafourche Parish teenager is behind bars on charges that he raped a woman last week, according to the sheriff's office.

The incident happened on New Year's Day close to midnight in the 260 block of West 151st Street in Galliano.

According to officials, Jaydon Galliano, 19, was at his home with the victim when he forced her into his bedroom. When the victim said she wanted to leave, Galliano told her he had a gun in his drawer and threatened to use it on her.

At that point, officials said, Galliano forced the victim to have sex with him against her will. He then allowed her to leave the next morning.

The victim reported the incident to the sheriff's office later that day.

Galliano faces charges of forcible rape including sodomy and false imprisonment while armed with a dangerous weapon.

Galliano's bail was set at $250,000. He's being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
