NEW ORLEANS -- Friends, family and fellow officers came together Tuesday night to raise money for a New Orleans police officer shot in the line of duty earlier this month.

Officer John Passaro was shot on Feb. 23 while working an armed robbery call at a store in the 9th Ward.

Organizers say all proceeds from t-shirt and decal sales at the fundraiser will go toward Passaro's medical bills.

Twenty percent of all food sales at the event will also be donated to Passaro.
