NEWORLEANS-- Staff and faculty at Delgado Community College are facing more possible layoffs.

According to college officials, Delgado is facing an $8 million deficit, the ripple effect of cuts to state funding and now a drop in student enrollment.

A memo was sent out to staff and faculty Friday alerted them to a possible reduction in programs and positions at the college.

Earlier this year, Delgado laid off almost 50 people because of budget problems.
