NEW ORLEANS Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 16-year-old who left his home after fighting with his guardian on March 23, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Damon Lomax and his guardian were in a verbal argument about him going back to school, police said.

He packed clothes into a backpack and left the residence in the 4700 block of Viola Street, according to the NOPD.

Lomax has not been seen or heard from since, police said.

He is described as black, 5'9' tall and about 165 pounds. He has a dark complexion with a short hair style. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, khaki jeans and black slippers.

Anyone with information that can help locate Lomax should call the NOPD at 821-2222.
