ST. PLAQUEMINES, La. Deputies arrested a fugities wanted for attempted murder and aggravated burglary fugitive from St. John the Baptist Parish, authorities said.

The St. John Parish Sheriff's Office said it asked Plaquemines' sheriffs to assist them in locating Matthew Borne Jr., 20, Tuesday. Borne allegedly committed the crime June 8.

Borne was arrested Wednesday once parish deputies and detectives located him. He later was released to the custody of St. John Parish detectives.
