NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating a double shooting Wednesday night in the Sixth Ward.

It happened before 7 p.m. near the intersection of St. Philip and N. Dorgenois.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest and a man of an unknown age was shot in the back. The 16-year-old is in critical condition, while the other man is stable. Neither victim has been identified.

Police haven't announced a suspect or a motive.
