NEWORLEANS-- Police arrested two men in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old pregnant girl Sunday. The young lady was one of 12 people shot in the past weekend.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, Shalik Allen, 17, and Raheem Wright, 20, were arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and attempted first-degree feticide.

Police did not release any additional circumstances surrounding the shooting or arrests.

According to the police, around 10:50 p.m. Sunday, the girl was shot in the neck, chest and back in the 11000 block of Patterson Road in Algiers.

She was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, and the child was delivered and is listed as stable as well.
