NEWORLEANS-- New Orleans police have made a second arrest in a double shooting that happened at a playground last week.

Two people were shot July 8 in the 2600 block of LaSalle Street at A.L. Davis Park, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

NOPD spokeswoman Officer Hilal Williams said 23-year-old Gerard Gray surrendered to police Monday afternoon.

Police arrested another suspect, 21-year-old Jonterry Bernard, last week and charged him with two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Both Gray and Bernard were originally considered just persons of interest in the case, but last week police decided to press formal charges against them.
