KENNER, La. - A man wanted as a fugitive in Mississippi was arrested in Jefferson Parish and charged with multiple burglary charges in Kenner.
According to Kenner Police, Torez Lorenzo White, 18, was staying at a home in the 4300 block of Idaho Avenue. He was wanted on a larceny charge from Ridgeland, Miss.
Police determined White had been bragging about committing numerous crimes in Kenner. He was arrested at the home in Kenner on Friday, police said.
He was connected to burglaries in Kenner that occurred in late July through physical evidence and by property recovered from numerous residential and business burglaries.
White was charged for the attempted or committed burglaries for the following dates and locations:
July 21, attempted simple burglary in the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue; July 25, attempted simple burglary in the 3500 block of California Avenue; attempted simple burglary in the 4500 block of Williams Boulevard; July 30, simple burglary in the 4100 block of Williams Boulevard; July 31, simple burglary in the 2100 block of 43rd Street.
White remains in custody and,no bond has been set. Police said additional charges are expected.
