Kenner, La. -- A West Bank teenager was robbed at gunpoint after he tried to sell a pair of Air Jordan shoes through two social media sites.
The 17-year-old from Gretna was robbed after he advertised the shoes for sale on Instagram and KIK, according to Kenner Police.
Saturday, he tried to sell the shoes for $160. According to Kenner Police, the teen agreed to meet a potential buyer in the 1400 block of 31st Street in Kenner. When he arrived at the location to complete the sale, several teenagers met him -- one teen pulled a gun and robbed the victiim.
Kenner Police arrested several teenagers in connection with the robbery: Brian Ratliff, 17, of Chalmette; Marcel Green 18, of Kenner; and two unnamed 16-year-old Kenner teenagers who were involved in the armed robbery. Ratcliff was charged with armed robbery and possession of marijuana. Green and the two 16-year old juveniles were charged with armed robbery, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, as police look for a fifth person connected to the robbery.
