NEW ORLEANS A report on ProFootballTalk.com cites a source that says it's likely that the Saints and Jimmy Graham will agree on a long-term deal before the Pro Bowl player files a grievance over whether or not he should be considered a tight end for salary purposes.

The Saints have put a non-exclusive free agent tag on Graham, meaning that he would draw a salary of around $7 million for one year if the team and he can't agree on a new, long-term deal.

The expectation is that if a long-term deal doesn't get done, that Graham will file a grievance claiming that he should be considered a receiver, since he lined up at that spot in a majority of the plays last year.

The team was believed to have moved around a lot of money to get a deal done with Graham, who set new standards for 'tight ends' in 2013 and was a Pro Bowl and All Pro player.
