If you ever wondered just how popular and profitable and valuable NFL franchise are, chew on this for a second all 32 NFL teams are ranked in the top 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world.

And while Tom Benson's newest purchase the Hornets didn't make that list, his other one did.

The Saints are worth an estimated $965 million, the 31st-most valuable franchise in the world, according to Forbes' most recent ranking of most valuable sports franchises.

In case you were wondering, Manchester United, the most celebrated team in the English Premier League, is worth $2.23 billion making it the most valuable franchise in world sports.

New Orleans' NFL franchise is worth more than such major-market entities as the Los Angeles Lakers (No. 35 at $900 million), the Chicago Cubs (No. 36 at $879 million) and the New York Knicks (No. 43 at $780 million).

But the Saints aren't the most valuable franchises in the NFC South.

Carolina, owned by Jerry Richardson, is worth an estimated $1 billion to lead the way in the division. The Panthers are No. 23 overall.

Tampa Bay is No. 2 in the NFC South, worth an estimated $981 million. While that's No. 29 overall, owner Malcolm Glazer can look at his other franchise as grin. His family owns Manchester United.

Atlanta is the least valuable NFC South franchise, worth $819 million. That's good for No. 39 overall.

All 32 NFL franchises made the list.
