BATON ROUGE, La. -- Baton Rouge rapper Torrence Hatch, known as Lil Boosie, made a splash in his first public appearance after being released from jail.
Hatch was decked out in white with gold jewelry when he arrived at the news conference, dubbed, 'Boosie Speaks.'
He was released from jail on Wednesday after serving a sentence on drug charges.
He was acquitted on murder charges after a jury determined there wasn't enough evidence to convict him.
'Prison made me stronger,' he said. 'I got closer to God in prison. Made me stronger mentally, increased by hustle to make money and made me wiser as far as life and reality goes.'
Hatch will likely stay on parole until 2018.
He said he's still working on his plans for the future and he's moving to New Orleans.
