NEW ORLEANS -- Juvenile Court Judge Yolanda King has returned to her job just a month after a state grand jury indicted her for allegedly lying about living in New Orleans when she ran for judge last year.

So far the Louisiana Supreme Court has shown no sign that it plans to suspend her from the bench.

Her case is stalled while the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court judges recuse themselves one by one, citing personal or professional relationships with King.

If all 12 judges in criminal court bow out, the Louisiana Supreme Court is expected to assign the case to an outside judge.

Meanwhile, King, who's 54, has dismissed motions from attorneys for juvenile defendants who are calling for her to recuse herself from their cases.
