Two bombs exploded Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing two people and injuring dozens of others, the Associated Press is reporting.

Nearly 27,000 runners took part of the 26.2 mile race, including participants representing nearly 100 countries.

While the event is being covered extensively in the United States, it's also gaining above-the-fold access internationally.
