HOUMA, La. -- A Houma man accused of breaking into a home and trying to take a shower Thursday morning was charged with simple burglary of a home.
David Mobley, 60, Brien Street, Houma is being held at the parish jail, a bond has not been set for his release.
Around 4:40 a.m. Houma police officers responded to a home on Myrtle Street where a resident said someone had broken into a neighbor's home while they were away.
When officers approached the home, they allegedly saw a shirtless Mobley inside.
Mobley told officers he entered the home by using a credit card to open the door. Once inside he turned on the air conditioner and was planning to take a shower, police said.
The home's owner told police that nothing seemed to be missing from the home.
