NEWORLEANS - On Sunday, the Carrollton Avenue Baptist Church hosted a community get-together to help neighbors get to know one another.

The church served up boiled crabs and crawfish, as well as cotton candy and sno-balls to satisfy the sweet tooth.

There were plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.

Pastor Brian Webber said he believes events like these could go a long way in making our neighborhoods safer.

'We really believe that we can draw the family back together. We can solve all of the issues we face in our community,' Webber said.

In addition to all the fun, people got a chance to get help putting together resumes and learn more about using computers.
