NEW ORLEANS New Orleans police were called to the 1100 block of Decatur Street in the French Quarter around 4 a.m. Friday morning, after reports of a stabbing.

A witness told police she saw a man walk past the bar and he appeared to have been holding a bloody towel.

When she went to ask if he needed help, she noticed the man was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

That's when her boyfriend who had stopped by to pick her up from work, ran to get more towels to try to stop the bleeding.

The victim, who was said to be a 26-year-old Metairie man, was later taken to the hospital where he was being treated. Police said his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

Police say that two men were arrested in connection with the attack - 18-year-old Quin Jones and 18-year-old Marvin Bickham.

According to police, the victim was walking in the Quarter when he was approached by the two men, who asked him a question and then some type of altercation ensued, which led to the stabbing.
