You may recall the image of Saints quarterback Drew Brees holding up his son Baylen following New Orleans' Super Bowl win in Miami.
Well, next time, it might be two little Brees's.
Brees told employees of the Ritz-Carlton, where he was the guest speaker during one of their quarterly meetings on Thursday, that his wife Brittany is 13 weeks pregnant, meaning they'll have an in-season baby.
And if you were going to guess that that would draw a large round of applause, well, you'd be correct.
Baylen, the Brees' first child, was born on his father's birthday - January 15 - in 2008.
Also drawing applause:
- Brees led those assembled in the meeting hall in the Saints' pregame chant, saying that, 'I was waiting until the end of the season to bring that out just because so many people have requested the pre-game chant. During the season, we were keeping that in-house, it's just for the people in that huddle to know what we're saying. But New Orleans and the city and the people were such a huge part of our success this year.'
- When asked about safety Darren Sharper and if he felt the team would re-sign the veteran, Brees said he was confident it would happen but that he understood that the NFL is a business.
- Brees explained to the employees that because offseason conditioning has started, there are now 32 teams that believe they can do what the Saints did this past season and while lots of players will be back from New Orleans' Super Bowl team, it'll still be a different team going for the repeat.
