NEW ORLEANS Both Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins are active for the first time in weeks, giving the Saints a boost of depth at the safety position heading into one of their toughest tests of the season.
The Saints will miss Kenny Vaccaro, who was deemed out with a concussion on Friday. Vaccaro had played an important role in New Orleans' defense shutting down some of the more physical and athletic tight ends in the NFL, something they'll face in San Francisco's Vernon Davis.
Harper hasn't played since Week 2 at Tampa Bay while Jenkins has sat out the past two games with a hamstring issue.
Ryan Griffin, Khiry Robinson, Rod Sweeting, Terron Armstead and Tyrunn Walker all are healthy scratches while tight end Benjamin Watson is out with a concussion.
For San Francisco, quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, receiver Quinton Patton, linebacker Nick Moody, guard Joe Looney, tight end Garrett Celek, defensive tackle Ray McDonald and defensive tackle Tank Carradine are out.
