NEW ORLEANS -- Police are looking for a 16-year-old girl who hasn't been seen for nearly 10 days.

Shamerle 'Shay' Adams was last seen in the 9500 block of Dinkins Street by her father on Feb. 14 at about 6 a.m. She had just left the home to go to school.

Police say Adams' father and his daughter had an argument that morning, and he hasn't seen or heard from her since.

It's believed that Adams may be in the Woodmere area of Jefferson Parish.

Adams, whose picture you can find above, is a black girl, about 5'5' tall and 135 pounds, and she has straight, medium-length hair.

If you know the whereabouts of Adams, call the New Orleans Police Department at 821-2222.
