PEARL RIVER, La. A Picayune woman is facing charges following a fatal crash on Interstate 59, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Nick Manale.
Carol Henly, 51, was charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving, according to Manale.
Around 1 a.m., Henly collided head-on with a SUV a half-mile south of the LA 1090 / U.S. 11 Pearl River exit in St. Tammany Parish, according to Manale. Henly was apparently driving the wrong way on the highway before the crash, according to Manale.

As Henly proceeded southbound in the northbound lanes, a 2002 Nissan SUV was traveling in the left northbound lane when the two vehicles collided in a head-on collision,' said a statement from Manale.
The driver of the Nissan SUV, Brenna Barnes of Hammond, 42, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Manale.
'Henly received moderate injuries and is suspected to have been impaired at the time of the crash. Toxicology results are pending. Upon release from the hospital, she will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail on the above charges,' said Manale.
